Flowers of Panama
Photos By A. Hawkins

Panama has two seasons, rainy and dry. The temperature is pretty constant all year around, and with the humidity and moisture, lush vegetation grows wild. It is especially magnificent in the jungles where not only exotic animals roam, but plants, includeding flowering plants, grow wild. Many of these flowers have been put to domesticated use in gardens and flower shops and some are familiar as plants that grow in many warm, temperate zones. I only know the names of a few of the below flowers and plants, too few to bother to be included here, but they are enjoyable to look at and you may even recognize some yourself. Some are well- known, like roses, but others are strange and exotic-looking and if you know the names of these, you know far more than I do about them. I hope you enjoy all of them for their beauty, and many thanks to Mr. Hawkins for taking and providing the photos.
