most of my pages contain information and photos about Panama, R. de P.,
and the former Canal Zone, there is also a page on Oklahoma where I have
resided for many years. For more detailed information and to navigate the
web site, use the "Site Map" on your left and click on it. On the Site
Map page, you will see direct links to the many Panama/Canal Zone pages.
So go ahead, browse around and please enjoy your visit here.

|Oklahoma is also known state-wide as "Native America". The name "Oklahoma" comes from the Choctaw words: "okla" meaning people and "humma" meaning red, so the state's name literally means "red people'. Oklahoma has more different tribes than any other state and is rich in American history and folklore. Although Oklahoma doesn't have "reservations" as you might imagine them, it does have Indian Land. The state flag (pictured above) is of an Osage shield and this shield is included, along with the words "Native America", on our standard license plates. I am of Cherokee-Choctaw and Irish heritage from my paternal line and a small amount of Scots, French, and English from my maternal line. Although I am not a native Oklahoman, I have lived here many years but part of me will always be with Panama and the former Canal Zone.|
