The country launched a special vaccination plan for foreign citizens without additional costs. You must simply set up your appointment in the country to receive your two doses.
As a solidarity initiative to expand global access to the vaccine for countries that have a low immunization rate as well as a way to support the tourism industry in the country, the Panamanian Government launched the Vacutur Program which will allow foreign citizens over 18 years old to receive their two vaccines (AstraZeneca) in the country.

- All travelers interested in getting the vaccine against COVID-19 in Panama must process their appointments and their stay through approved hotels and travel agencies that are a part of the program before November 19th, 2021.
- First, you must communicate with an approved hotel or travel agency that are part of the Vacutur Panama program. Find a complete list of approved hotels and agencies here.
- After the hotel or agency processes your reservation package and receives payment, they will schedule the two appointments with a minimum of 6 weeks between each.
- Travelers can choose to stay in Panama during this period or set up a second trip to Panama around the dates of their last/second vaccination appointment.
- International visitors coming from or that have been in transit in high risk countries in the last 15 days must follow an obligatory 3-day quarantine and the total cost will be covered by the traveler.
- After the quarantine, the visitor must take a COVID-19 test that will have to give a negative result to be able to finish the quarantine period and receive their COVID-19 vaccine.
This program is a great opportunity to receive immunization and discover some of the wonders that Panama offers its visitors.
