Panama makes international headlines

The country has been characterized for having an international perception that highlights the benefits and attractions it offers as a destination. Investment, tourism, and business topics stand out in international media.

From time to time Panama appears in various international media thanks to the great opportunities that are generated in the country from economy to tourism.

For example, Bussines Wire produced a study by “Live and Invest Overseas”, in which it points out which are the best markets for investment in real estate, highlighting Panama as one of those six countries.

The publication points out that “for almost 20 years, Panama has been one of the main markets for investors, with a depressed real estate market and a strong and diversified economy. The Pacific coast of Panama, one hour from Panama City and 10 minutes from Coronado, offers a phenomenal opportunity with one and two-bedroom apartments offering mountain and ocean views and nearby amenities priced at $210,000”.

Other international media mention the work of Panama in terms of alliances, investments, and attractions that the country offers. Skift mentioned, “Panama is investing $300 million for a community-focused tourism strategy.” Also, ABC Mundial mentioned, “Panama signs an agreement with the UNWTO to carry out Innovation Competition in Tourism Products”.

These outstanding initiatives are part of the Strategic Plan of the Panama Tourism Authority (ATP), which considers 3 key pillars for the positioning and promotion of the country in tourism: financing, training, and stimulation of demand.

Tourist attractions and natural resources are not far behind in the news shared by international media. Yahoo News mentioned, “I visited Panama to taste the most expensive coffee in the world, and now you can too”. Euronews.travel has an article “Panama: How to plan a trip full of nature to the home of coffee and chocolate”.

Without a doubt, Panamanian coffee has become an ambassador and faithful representative of the quality of products produced in the country. An article in El Universo mentions Wilford Lamastus, owner, along with his family, of Elida Estate “Costa Rica has geisha, all of Central America has geisha, Colombia, Brazil, and even Hawaii have a variety of geisha, but they have not been able to get a cup that exceeds that of Panama”.

Additionally, Forbes Central America highlights that “Panama will host all blockchain players in the month of July of this year because it was selected as the venue for the Blockchain Summit LatAm 2022”.

This event is a clear message about Panama bringing together key players in the industry. The article mentions that “during the event, a gallery of NFT artists will be exhibited to highlight the works of Latin Americans and there will also be workshops.”

The event positions Panama as a strategic point for trade and a financial center for Latin America. New technologies related to the fintech, blockchain, and NFT industries are not exempt from the country’s goals of becoming the region’s innovation hub.

Panama is a region that makes the most of its natural resources, geographical position, and public and private investments to place the country as one of the commercial references in the region. Panama is definitely a destination to invest in and do business.
