Tocumen airport receives about 20 million people a year, many of whom decide to stop over in the country to enjoy all the tourist attractions it has.
One of those is the area of the central provinces and the Pacific Riviera. A combination of beach and mountains is one of the most desired plans by those who visit the country. Canadian tourists now have the possibility of arriving directly here through four weekly direct flights from Montreal to the Río Hato Airport.
Through the issuance of the definitive operating certificate, the airline Air Transat will operate four weekly flights between the airports, also allowing Panamanians who have a valid Canadian visa to fly from the Scarlet Martínez International Airport to Montreal, Canada.
The flight frequencies will be maintained throughout the high season and the initiative is expected to contribute to the economic and tourism growth of the area and the country.
