Buenaventura Golf Club launches a membership for expat residents in Panama

Expats Membership will provide foreign residents in the country access to excellent benefits for them and their families, while also allowing access to all the courses within the Troon network.

The Buenaventura golf course has received awards more than once for the best course in Panama. The fairways have hosted PGA series tournaments and as Alvaro Venegas, its general director, mentions:

“The best part about Buenaventura GC is that you are playing two different courses at the same time depending on the presence of the wind. The first nine holes are the least affected by the wind but the last nine are highly exposed to it since they are the ones closest to the beach. One of the most important things, with or without wind, is the approach to the green. By having big and undulating greens, reaching it in two hits will not ensure reaching par”.

Foreign residents in the country will be able to enjoy a special membership tailored just for them: the Expats Membership. A membership with a cost of $265 USD per month (tax included) with the following benefits:

Unlimited access to the course from Sunday afternoon until Friday morning.
Includes a family member (wife or child under 25 years old)
Special fee for golf cart rental ($20 USD).
Global access with special fee to all the courses in the Troon Golf network

“This membership is an invitation for all those golf fanatics that are expats so they can have a space where they can practice the sport and also have access to hundreds of golf courses in the Troon Golf network around the world,” confirmed Venegas.

The Troon network includes renown courses worldwide and some of them have been host to important PGA championships. “Therefore, if you are an executive that travels constantly, this can be your opportunity to have access to not only the best golf courses in Panama and Santa Maria but also be a part of a global network,” the director stated.
