The prestigious magazine Condé Nast Traveler published its list of top 10 best hotels in Central America and the Caribbean, in which the Bristol Hotel is included as the only Panamanian hotel that has been selected.

The magazine provides information regarding the best places to travel to, the best places to stay, facts to make your trips more enjoyable, and tourism guides about multiple destinations around the globe. This last publication, considered their version of the XXXIII awards, is very special because it is the first time that their readers were able to vote during times when almost nobody is flying due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Additionally, it mentioned that the hotels awarded with the Readers Choice Award of 2020 are those that provided travelers with the best service and have the highest satisfaction rate, thus the voters have been able to feel connected despite the months they have spent without travel.
“These are lasting gems that can resist the test of time and the vicissitudes of the circumstances,” emphasized the magazine, adding that, although it is always an honor to be on the list, this “very strange” year for the tourism industry establishes an even bigger honor.
The list includes the following hotels: Casa de las Peninsulas in Dominican Republic, Casa Kanopi in Jamaica, Porta Hotel in Antigua, Guatemala, Hotel Capitán Suizo in Costa Rica, Bristol Hotel in Panama, S Hotel Jamaica in Jamaica and the Fairmont Hotel in San Juan, Hotel Serafina Beach and Condado Vanderbilt in Puerto Rico.
Furthermore, they mention many readers have stated that as soon as the world overcomes the COVID-19 pandemic, they want to focus their attention on the classics, be it their personal favorites or places where they have been provided exceptional service and that have brought joy to other travelers. For this reason, they recommend the hotels that are listed as the Top 10 Best Hotels in Central America and the Caribbean as a “starting point for what is to come”.
